SECA Presentation Night 2013/14

At the SECA Presentation night your club, Bentleigh Uniting WON the Club Championship,

Points are awarded for victories by Senior and Junior teams in all grades so every team that wins gets us points. We won the award by the narrowest of margins so that means if you played in a winning team this season, even just one win, YOU helped Uniting win the award.

A large number of clubs have never won this award but Bentleigh Uniting has won it a record 13 of the past 22 years including 5 of the past 6 which showcases our strength across all Senior and Junior teams.

And the club we just pipped for the award?…. East Sandy. Karma is a beautiful thing.

SECA Knights Player of the Year Award was won by Bentleigh Uniting star all rounder Ash Russell.

Ash was voted by the Umpires as the Best player for season 2013/14.

Ash collected 16 votes to win by 3 votes to cap off a great year.

Ash also won the Bentleigh Uniting Best team player. Scoring over 500 runs and taking 29 wickets.

Also at SECA presentation night BUCC star Ash Russell won the Longmuir Batting av (65.50) and aggregate runs, (524 runs). And Peter Milner the Quiney Shield Batting av (57.80)

And of course skipper Glenn Lalor was on hand to accept the Longmuir Shield after our great win over East Sandy.
