2013/14 Grand Final Details

Four teams in Grand Finals

The Second XI had a nightmare match best forgotten. Great year anyway boys.

The 6th XI was defending 195, Greg Halliday struck early to have Hampton Central 2/10 but they consolidated and batted fantastically to pass us 4 down. Great effort but not our day.

The Under 12 A were chasing 149 and were in heaps of trouble early with star bats Harry Rhodes, Campbell James, Josh Bregazzi and Kayleb Klopfer all out cheaply. Heroes were needed and up stood Matt Stoupas and Ethan Manakis who got us back in the game, Josh Treweek , Cade Dorrofield, Ben Radlow, Jackson Heyward and Charlie Davidson all did the team thing and chased quick runs which left the final chase to Matt and Ethan .With 9 runs needed and 9 balls left Ethan was finally caught on the boundary for a great 31 which left Matt Stoupas not out 39.

Just short on runs but not on team spirit and courage by the boys well led by coach Christian Klopfer, Massive Maroon and Gold crowd of parents, friends and Senior players were proud to witness and support our next wave of Uniting Champions.
