Under 12As had a very rough day at the office. Our bowling and fielding was solid, keeping Brighton, the top side to 110 of their 20. Unfortunately we couldn't replicate with the bat, with the side collapsing to 9/47 off our 20. Duke and Werry not out overnight, hoping to bat as much time as possible week 2.

An additional note is that the mighty Leighton got his first wicket for the club aswell! We are left with chasing 255 next week and everyone is pumped for the challenge it brings!

The 1st XI took to the field first, showing strong discipline with the ball early on. With excellent line and length, they kept the opposition under pressure, restricting Le Page Park to 3/99 at one stage. The bowlers worked well in tandem, ensuring no easy runs were on offer.

As the day wore on, Le Page capitalized on a few opportunities and gained the upper hand, accelerating late in their innings to post a formidable total of 300. While the result wasn’t what the team hoped for, there were standout moments to celebrate, including Campbell James claiming his first-ever wicket in Longmuir Shield cricket.
